Emily Brunnen

Emmett’s Nan was a major part of his growing up and instilled in him the values he lives by today.

She was a very caring person who, in addition to caring for members of her own family, was very active in her local community. She’s was a regular visitor and helper at a couple of Care Homes in the Knotty Ash area and played an important role supporting clergy at St Brendan’s and St Oswald’s churches in Old Swan. She was the epitome of a  “Good Neighbour”.

Often putting others before herself it was a massive loss to her family when she passed away suddenly in 2018.

Emmett ran the first tournament in her memory that summer (he was aged just 13 at the time) and has carried on with the tournament (apart from one year due to Covid) annually.

Each year a charity partner is named, this year we are delighted to support Shelter, particularly their work in the North West of England.
